Completed Projects

At Catholic Concern for Animals – Cameroon (CCA-Cam), we are proud of the successful projects we have completed that have made a positive impact on both animals and communities. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to animal welfare, education, and sustainable practices. Below are some of our completed projects that reflect our mission and values.


1. Community Animal Welfare Awareness Campaign

  • Overview: Launched in 2022, this campaign aimed to educate local communities about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
  • Activities: Conducted workshops, distributed educational materials, and organized community events to raise awareness.
  • Impact: Reached over 500 community members, leading to a significant increase in responsible pet ownership practices and improved treatment of animals.

2. Ethno-Vet Garden Project

  • Overview: This project focused on promoting sustainable agriculture by establishing community gardens that grow medicinal and edible plants.
  • Activities: Collaborated with local farmers to set up gardens, provided training on sustainable practices, and organized workshops on the benefits of traditional plants.
  • Impact: Successfully established 10 community gardens, improving food security and access to medicinal plants for over 300 families.

3. Youth Leadership and Advocacy Program

  • Overview: This program engaged young people in animal welfare advocacy and environmental conservation.
  • Activities: Organized leadership workshops, mentorship sessions, and community service projects that encouraged youth participation.
  • Impact: Empowered 150 young leaders who actively advocate for animal welfare in their communities and participated in local conservation efforts.

4. Mobile Veterinary Clinics

  • Overview: To address the health needs of animals in underserved areas, we implemented mobile veterinary clinics providing essential medical care.
  • Activities: Offered free veterinary services, vaccinations, and educational sessions for pet owners in rural communities.
  • Impact: Treated over 1,000 animals, significantly improving their health and well-being, and reduced the incidence of preventable diseases.

5. Environmental Conservation Initiative

  • Overview: This initiative aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and its connection to animal welfare.
  • Activities: Conducted community clean-up events, tree planting activities, and educational workshops on sustainable practices.
  • Impact: Engaged over 400 community members, resulting in the planting of 2,000 trees and increased community involvement in environmental protection efforts.
